I love Charley Harper
Look at his work! How have I not heard of him before. Beautiful. His prints would work well in my place. I could use them to liven plain light switches or I could use his memory game to create a piece of art on my wall. Thank you, Charlie, for all your hard work.
Latest finds
Here are some of my latest finds. I'm hoping these little things will give me the inspiration and motivation to venture into larger and more dominant items for the apartment.
Flower catch-all found at Anthropologie on sale for about $7.00.
Teapot penny bank found at the Mount Vernon estate in Alexandria, Virginia on sale for about $22.00.
Hook rack found at Anthropologie for $24.00.
Makeup bag found on sale at Anthropologie for about $10.00. I can't find it online; I got it in the sale section at the store.
This Breakfast at Tiffany's laminated poster was a housewarming gift and the giver has yet to reveal her source. I'll work on it.
My adorable apron was made for me by a family friend in Tennessee. I love it!
Pillow found at Anthropologie on sale for about $48.00. I can't find the pillow on the Web site, but here is a similiar one: the Wild & Wooly Pillow.

Where should I shop?
So far, I am drawn to Anthropologie for the future look of my apartment. I know there must be a ton of Web sites or shops that carry Anthropologie-like items that give off that shabby chic vibe. Please let me know where I should be shopping. I appreciate any help you can give me! Thanks!

The Shower Curtain
Transforming my all-white apartment into a shabby chic home started with the bathroom. With black and white checkered tiles, I wanted a fun and flirty shower curtain. My shower curtain rod rounds around the side of the tub, so I needed two curtains instead of just one. And since I couldn't bear to spend a ton on the curtains, my original plan was cut short. But I'm happy with my final choice. You?
What I wanted: Bustled Shower Curtain from Anthropologie. $118 a curtain. Total price for me would have been $236.00.
What I got: Waverly Home Toile Shower Curtain from Target. $26.99 a curtain. Total price for me was $53.98. I saved $182.02. And it works well in the space.
What it looks like in the space:
Add the Head-Over-Heels bath mat from Anthropologie and I think I have a good start:
