Accomplishments

Things I've done:
1. Skydived from a helicopter in the Swiss Alps and in an international location I could.
2. Spent a summer studying in France.
3. Reported from Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom 2003-2004 - Active duty Army.
     - Served as a Diplomat in Kandahar, Afghanistan with Department of State in 2012-2013.
4. Earned my master's degree in international journalism from the University of Tennessee.
5. Proud to have served in an outstanding position protecting the environment; Fukushima emergency response team member. 
6. Bought my own flat-water kayak and use it.
7. Went whitewater rafting in Switzerland. Cold!
8. Learned to play decently whatever instrument I wanted. Clarinet, sax, drum set, mellophone, trumpet, baritone...
9. Went rapelling in various U.S. locations and ziplining in Ohio.
10. Went spalunking in Mexico.
11. Found out I love yoga. Bikram yoga to be exact.
12. Took chances based on a feeling. Follow your gut always.
13. Increased personal expectations and lived up to them.
14. Rescued two adorable dogs from a shelter.
15. Read: "Pride and Prejudice." Again and again.
16. Quote Gibbs Rules often and some of those rules may have saved my life during deployments. 

Things I never want to do again:
1. Settle.
2. Own a python.
3. Have all-black and dark-brown furniture.
4. Eat meat or seafood.
5. Be mean or unfair.
6. Balance a mortgage and rent at the same time.
7. Have a roommate, unless it's a hubby or children. Or dogs.
8. Eat black licorice.
9. Lose at Monopoly.
10. Be poor.
11. Feel stuck in one place.
12. Wear a uniform or sign a contract, unless it's for a cell phone.
13. Be without my iPhone.
14. Run out of gas when it's freakin' freezing outside.
15. Wear a life jacket that's too big, slaps me in the face and blocks air flow when I land in the water while whitewater kayaking.
16. Give up on a dream.
